11 USC § 522(b)(3)(B) specifies that the protection to be given tenancy by the entireties and other
jointly-held property in bankruptcy is determined by “applicable nonbankruptcy law.” Therefore, the
rules upon which this website is based do not apply. Do not attempt to use this website to determine
what applicable nonbankruptcy law is for that purpose. There are conflicting judicial views on how
"applicable nonbankruptcy law" is determined.
